In April of 2019, we were invited as special guests to attend Seattle Children's 1000th Transplant Celebration at T-Mobile Field. The transplant clinic took Maddie on as a patient when she went into liver failure and the brilliant Dr. Simon Horselin saved her life by placing a shunt on her liver. The afternoon was spent enjoying light refreshments before enjoying a Seattle Mariners Baseball game where we had the honor of meeting an incredible staff member Captain Ross.
After the devastating loss of Maddie, hundreds of our followers and friends nominated us to receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Walt Disney World from Coupon Katie. In January 2021, our family had the time of our lives as we explored the most magical place on earth.
Chad had never experienced the magic of a Disney park. After getting a taste of the magic at Walt Disney World we decided to bring him to the happiest place on earth in September of 2022 so he could experience the magic and wonder of the west coast based theme park.
In October 2019, we traveled to Las Vegas for the Deafnation World Conference. Meagan gave a speech, and we had a booth to share about The Hand That Heals.
Meagan was invited to share her CPTSD and EMDR therapy journey alongside her therapist Caityln, during Hospice of the Northwest yearly summit on trauma-informed care.
